CADMATIC 2026H1 release introduces a common ribbon and AI-assisted electrical tools
The update spans outfitting and plant design, P&ID, hull, eShare and CADMATIC Electrical.
CADMATIC released its 2026H1 software update on 11 May 2026. The most visible change is a new common ribbon that replaces older ribbon technology to give a more consistent interface across CADMATIC applications.
In outfitting and 3D plant design, the release adds encrypted transfers of COS databases between sites using a unique key per site, piping improvements including intelligent routing, reducer and branch handling and automatic reinforcement pads, and simpler creation and maintenance of drawing views. In P&ID, markups attached to diagrams in eShare can now be browsed directly in the P&ID interface.
For information management, eShare now supports projects where documents rather than the 3D model are the main information source, and adds optional OpenTelemetry export of usage and performance data. Hull design gains a hole request manager for tracking requests from outfitting and the ability to publish hull documents to Wave.
CADMATIC Electrical adds more flexible marking tools, AI-assisted creation of library product models and AI-assisted terminology translation. The AI functions require a subscription or COL licence.
