Autodesk used Autodesk University 2026 in Las Vegas to preview new agentic AI capabilities across its three industry clouds: Forma for architecture, engineering and construction, Fusion for design and manufacturing, and Flow for media and entertainment. The company said the capabilities will shape the next generation of Autodesk Assistant.

Rather than operating inside a single application, the next-generation Assistant is meant to draw on connected project data and reach across products, projects and teams. Autodesk's example describes a structural change to a building whose downstream effects on fabrication, schedule, cost, construction sequencing and operations are traced by the Assistant.

The current Autodesk Assistant is generally available in Forma, Fusion, Flow and other Autodesk products. The next-generation version is a preview: Autodesk said a standalone experience is planned for 2027 and that availability, rollout timing, subscription terms and regional details will be announced in 2027.

Trade coverage of the event by Architosh listed further Forma items, including Forma Board, Workflow Studio, a Daily Log Agent, drawing compliance checking and expanded construction agents for document search, submittals, drawing review and bid processing, generally without availability dates.
